About the Silver Fern Flag
The silver fern is a New Zealand icon which has been proudly worn by generations for over 160 years. The multiple points of the fern leaf represent Aotearoa’s peaceful, multicultural society, a single fern spreading upwards represents one people growing onward into the future.
The bright blue represents our clear skies and the Pacific Ocean, black the strength of our nation, white represents peace, and red represents our shared Māori and European heritage. The Southern Cross guided early settlers to our islands and represents our location in the South Pacific.

All flags come fitted with sister clips, and all flag fly ends are quadruple-stitched for added reinforcement.
